Last week the U.S. Census Bureau awarded DraftFCB its $200 million contract for marketing the 2010 census. Jennifer Marks, chief of the Census 2010 Publicity Office, says minority outreach, particularly with undocumented Hispanic workers, will be a "huge focus for us." The bureau, she said, is determined to have the most accurate portrayal of the United States.

Entravision's KSSE 107.1 FM, better known as "Super Estrella" in L.A., added Top 40 English-language hits last week to its Spanish-language contemporary hits format. Walter Ulloa, CEO and co-founder of Entravision, says it's just another way to reach millions more Latinos and strengthen the already successful multimedia company.

After spearheading several initiatives in the Hispanic market on behalf of several large companies, Arminda "Mindy" Figueroa earlier this year launched her own marketing and communications consultancy, Latin2Latin. She waited until June 21 to make an official announcement. "It was on purpose," she said. "I wanted to build a base first."
