Dieste Promotes Quevedo to President, CCO
August 30, 2006
By Mariana Lemann
Dallas-based Dieste Harmel & Partners has announced that Aldo Quevedo, formerly executive creative officer and managing partner, has been named president and chief creative officer. Simultaneously, Tony Dieste, the agency's CEO, becomes chairman and chief idea officer, and Warren Harmel, previously president, becomes CEO and chief insights officer.
In a statement, Dieste says: "The appointment of Aldo Quevedo to president means an important step to us, giving the increasing competition in the Hispanic market." Harmel added: "In a more traditional agency structure, the responsibility over ideas falls under the creative department. At Dieste Harmel & Partners, a creative mentality is now part of the DNA of all departments."
As the new president, Quevedo says that other structural changes will be announced shortly to "assure that this new mentality is not confined in the creative department."
