Changes at Adweek Media
October 22, 2007
By Mediaweek Staff
Nielsen Business Media's Marketing and Media group, which houses Mediaweek, Brandweek, Adweek, Editor & Publisher and other businesses, announced changes today on the Adweek Media sales side and with its Marketing y Medios brand, according to Sabrina Crow, senior vp of Nielsen Business Media.
Marketing y Medios, a monthly section devoted to Hispanic marketing, media and agency news that ran in select issues of Adweek, Mediaweek and Brandweek, will stop running, effective with the current issue.
Marketing y Medios editor Nancy Ayala will leave her post and will pursue other opportunities. Her last day is Nov. 2.
After a 15-year tenure, Wright Ferguson has decided to leave his post as executive vp, chief revenue officer of the Adweek Media group. Ferguson was instrumental in growing Adweek magazine dramatically during his time with the company. An active search for a new publisher for Adweek is underway.
Nielsen Business Media's Marketing and Media group will continue to aggressively report on Hispanic communications but will cover it as one part of the general marketplace. The group will continue to produce online news and conferences targeting the Hispanic community.
