Televisa Combines 'Poder' and 'Hispanic Enterprise'
July 21, 2008
By Lucia Moses. Mediaweek
NEW YORK Televisa Publishing + Digital, a division of Spanish-language media giant Grupo Televisa, is combining two of its magazines aimed at Hispanic business leaders.
The titles are the Latin America-focused Poder Magazine and Hispanic Enterprise, which is solely distributed in the U.S.
The resulting magazine will be called Poder Enterprise and will have a combined, mostly free distribution of 125,000 in the U.S. when it relaunches in September. Like Poder Magazine, it will be distributed 11 times a year.
Poder Enterprise will continue Poder Magazine's partnership with The Economist, which distributes Poder at its events.
At the same time, Poder Enterprise will add overseas editions in Venezuela, Argentina and Peru to its current ones in Mexico, Colombia and Chile. All told, the title will have a combined distribution of 350,000 copies in the U.S. and abroad. The title also will be distributed to affiliates of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Mediaweek is a sister title of MarketingyMedios.com.
