NEW YORK Multicultural media agency Tapestry today (Aug. 26) announced the promotions of four executives, per Monica Gadsby, CEO of SMG Multicultural, a division of Starcom MediaVest Group.
Elevated to new posts are Isabella Sanchez, to svp, managing director of Tapestry, Miami; Marla Skiko to svp, director of digital innovation, Chicago; Dana Bonkowski, to vp, media director, Chicago; and Terri McKinzie, vp, media director, Chicago.
"These four women have been instrumental in building and shaping Tapestry's rich history in the multicultural media and marketing space," said Gadsby, in a statement. "Their dedication to our clients, our people and our product serves as an inspiration to the entire Tapestry family."
Media veteran Sanchez oversees client duties for Americatel, H&R Block, Kellogg's and Levi's, contributing to new business wins in 2007 including tax preparer H&R Block and Checkers, per the agency. She manages the Tapestry Miami office.
Skiko has led the digital business of Tapestry and MV42°, contributing to the formation of the SMG Multicultural digital team and its five-fold growth in digital media spend for the past three years. She has worked with clients including Kraft, Best Buy, Miller and Procter & Gamble to recognize and embrace the value of multicultural consumers via various digital platforms, per Tapestry.
Bonkowski has played a pivotal role in developing the Hispanic marketing program for Miller Brewing Co. She and her team developed "Miller Mission: Fútbol," an award-winning online videogame that allowed soccer fans to experience the camaraderie and drama of the sport firsthand.
As Tapestry's media director, local and national investment, McKinzie's client duties include Best Buy, Kellogg's and Suzuki. She partnered with local Univision and Telefutura affiliates in 2007 to help Comcast host the first-ever Digital Town Forum in Chicago to drive awareness about the provider's services.
